TA6 7EE |  | The Choral Society has been at the heart of the cultural life of Bridgwater since it was founded in 1949 by conductor Rex Browning with the aim of providing music of quality in the town and district. Early performances were in the Arts Centre and Town Hall, later moving to the fine parish church of St Mary’s, where the choir continue to perform two major choral works from the classical repertoire each year. The high standard is reflected in the engagement of professional soloists and orchestra for these concerts.
