The Angel Place Shopping Centre was built in the early eighties and was opened in September 1986.

The Centre Manager, Ian Harris, has been associated with the centre since April 1985, for the first sixteen months being involved in the completion stages of the construction.

He has seen the Centre Change ownership on four occasions, this has not caused any disruption or inconvenience to the shoppers or the shopping environment.

The Centre is accessible by public transport that terminates at the front, rear and side of the centre, it also has a 385-space car park with easy access.

The Centre currently holds the Secure Car Park Award, the only one in Sedgemoor, this being due to the diligent patrols of the twenty four-hour security.

There is a good cross section of shops, there are also facilities for the disabled, with Shop Mobility adjacent to the centre, mother and baby are catered for in their own room.
