Somerset author Dr. Justin Newland’s fascination with the supernatural inspired his latest novel, The Old Dragon’s Head, a historical thriller played out in in the shadows of the Great Wall of China.
Taking place at Bridgwater Library from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday 23rd May 2019, ‘The Great Ming Code: How the Law Book of the Ming Dynasty attempted to harmonise human society with the will of Heaven’ will explore how the rule of law reached into every aspect of people’s lives, even that of the Emperor. He’ll also discuss his writing and sign copies of his book.
